Yoga & Me
I have been doing yoga for more than 15 years now and it is a privilege to learn about, delve deeper into, understand and appreciate the dynamic between our nervous system and life! 💛💪🙏🙏 There is a system that cares for us automatically governing the functions of our vital organs that keep us alive... Digestive, circulatory, respiratory systems, etc. - vital systems that operate automatically Independent of our will (even as we sleep!). The Central Nervous System and the Autonomic Nervous Systems serve to keep activity and homeostasis in our being - everything properly functioning and in balance, for our well-being... When a system is not functioning properly, we will feel it through a discomfort, mood swing or ailment, etc. But when they are operating well we experience and enjoy ease. The goal and ideal, of course, is to live in ease - with all vital systems operating well for our life. Now, Yoga, as an exercise, serves to keep these systems, "awake," so to speak, so they may keep supporting us - stimulating nerves, organs and glands, activating the brain and pathways so impulses may be sent and received all throughout our being and the proper actions take place so we are sustained, kept safe, supported, supplied and secured. So much material (online, publications, etc.) on this is now disseminated and circulated, and I urge you to read about or watch them for your own appreciation of this thing called OUR LIFE BECAUSE IT IS TRULY AMAZING, GOD-MADE & AWESOME!!! We are so loved!!
